“It’s An Urban Mardi Gras”

The 2009 Allston Village Street Fair will be held on Sunday, September 20th from 12pm to 6pm following the Brian J. Honan Memorial 5K Race and the Allston-Brighton Parade. The Allston Village Street Fair will take place on Harvard Avenue from Brighton Avenue to Cambridge Street in Allston, MA. This event is a free, open to the public, family friendly day of Entertainment, Activities, and Fun, which attracts thousands of attendees from the entire New England Region and Visiting Tourists from around the World!

The Allston Village Street Fair also sponsors a Philanthropic Objective each year which will be represented by the Haley House in 2009 - www.haleyhouse.org .

This 2009’s street fair will showcase Allston’s thriving art scene with street performers, art exhibits, vendors, and 3 stages of live music on Harvard Avenue featuring over 30 bands who are donating their performances to this amazing cause.  Featuring “American Idol Star” Ayla Brown!

The 2007 and 2008 Allston Village Street Fair’s were a huge success and the 2009 event will be bigger and better!  Here are some of the sights and sounds from last year’s event.
